How to switch unemployment insurance funds

If you are a student

Student membership is FREE and can help you secure your right to unemployment benefits from day one after graduation if you do not have a job. If you have been a student member for at least one year, you can avoid the usual waiting period.

As a student member, you also get access to courses, workshops, events and job search support, including help finding a relevant student job.

If you have moved to Denmark from abroad

If you were covered by unemployment insurance in another EEA country, Switzerland or the Faroe Islands before moving to Denmark, you may be able to transfer this cover.

To do this, you must have your primary residence in Denmark when you apply, and you must apply within eight weeks of ending your insurance in the other country.

If you are unsure how it works, contact us and we will help you get started.
