We’ll take care of all the practicalities and ensure you maintain your seniority. It is important that you don’t cancel your membership with your current unemployment insurance fund first, as this will affect your entitlement to unemployment benefits (dagpengeret) and your seniority. When you sign up, you’ll indicate that you’re currently a member of another unemployment insurance fund, then you select which one, and confirm on the final page. This will initiate the electronic transfer.  

Your current unemployment insurance fund may have a notice period that must be respected before the transfer takes effect. If you’ve prepaid your membership fee, you’ll get a refund from the transfer date.
