If you resign from your job, you typically receive a quarantine of 111 hours (the equivalent of 3 weeks), during which you cannot receive unemployment benefits.
However, if you have a valid reason , you may be able to resign from your job without facing a quarantine.
If you have been terminated, it is important to check if you have the notice period you are entitled to. If you accept a notice period that is too short, you are considered being at voluntarily unemployed (selvforskyldt ledig) and will then face a quarantine of 111 hours (the equivalent of 3 weeks) before you are eligible for unemployment benefits.
