Unemployment benefits (dagpenge)

As a member of an unemployment insurance fund (a-kasse), you are eligible for unemployment benefits (dagpenge) if you are between jobs.

Unemployment benefits are financed by the state, but it is your unemployment insurance fund that pays out the benefits.
