Transport subsidy
Transport subsidy
You can receive subsidies for your transport expenses if you
- are in activation
- employed with a wage subsidy by a public employer
- have received education as part of activation
- need to attend a job interview.
This subsidy is called transportation allowance or mileage allowance.
To qualify for transportation allowance, the distance must be more than 24 km round trip (i.e., 12 km each way) between your residence and the place where you are undergoing activation or attending a job interview.
Your municipality evaluates and potentially grants the transportation allowance, and the rules may vary from one municipality to another.
Contact your municipality to find out if you are eligible to have your transport costs covered for a specific job interview – especially if you need to travel a long distance.
