Subsidised employment

Subsidised employment (job med løntilskud)

Employment with a wage subsidy (løntilskud) means that you are employed at a company, but your employer receive a subsidy for your salary from the government.

Subsidised employment is an offer for the unemployed and a form of active employment measure. It is an excellent way to gain experience in a field of work and to get a foot in the door at a company.

When you participate in activation – for example, subsidised employment – you still use up part of your unemployment benefit period. During your activation, you must actively search for jobs and be available for a full-time job without notice.

You must also attend meetings with your job centre or other service providers and with us at the unemployment insurance fund.
