Salary Insurance (lønsikring)
Salary insurance is a private supplementary insurance to your unemployment benefits.With salary insurance, you receive up to 90% of your previous salary, including unemployment benefits and other benefits, for an entire year. You can receive a maximum of 40,000 DKK per month in addition to your unemployment benefits.
Salary insurance applies if you are:
- terminated or otherwise involuntarily unemployed
- unemployed due to illness
- unemployed due to an accident
You cannot receive payments from salary insurance if you resign or if you are dismissed due to, for example, fraud or deceit. You must take out salary insurance yourself.
