Quarantine

Quarantine (karantæne)

Quarantine means that you cannot receive unemployment benefits for a period.

This may be the case if you quit your job or become voluntarily unemployed for other reasons.

It is important to check if you get  the notice period you are entitled to, if your employment has been terminated. You are considered to be voluntarily unemployed  if you accept a notice period that is too short.

You can also be quarantined if you receive unemployment benefits on an incorrect basis, for example if you deliberately have not reported work hours on your benefit card.
