Job search process
Job search process (jobsøgningsforløb)
When your job search process (jobsøgningsforløb or kontaktforløb) is at Akademikernes A-kasse, we are your primary contact in your job search. This is usually the first three months of your unemployment period, but if you are working part-time, the period will be longer. The point at which your job search process is transferred to your job centre depends on the number of hours you receive unemployment benefits.
Your job search process will transition to the job centre, when you receive your 410th hour of unemployment benefits.
As payments are typically made at the end of the month, most people will transition from the a-kasse to the job centre for their job search process after three months.
When your job search process transitions to the job center, it is important that you inform yourself about your first meeting with the job center. This can either be on jobnet.dk, where you will receive a deadline for when you need to book the meeting yourself, or you will receive an invitation to the meeting via Digital Post, which you can read on e-Boks, Borger.dk, or Mit.dk. Where you receive the information depends on your municipality, so check both jobnet.dk and Digital Post.
