Extension of eligibility for unemployment benefits

You may extend your unemployment benefit period with an extension of eligibility for unemployment benefits. 

You can extend your unemployment benefit period if you have had paid work prior to the expiry of the right of unemployment benefit. An hour of work can be exchanged for two hours of unemployment benefits. You extend your unemployment benefits for a maximum of one year.
